#19: Tobias Harris

The Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly traded the 10th pick to the Sacramento Kings in a multi-player deal, bringing the Bucks the 19th pick in the 2011 NBA Draft.

The move cannot be consummated until after the first round but the Bucks have Tennessee forward Tobias Harris.

Harris, at 6’8″, 225 pounds is an 18-year old small forward who averaged 15.3 points on 46.0% shooting at Tennessee.

He’s not much of an outside shooter (30.3% from three) but should fit in defensively with Coach Scott Skiles.

The Bucks, after a tremendous 2009-10 regular season dealt with a number of injury issues and dropped to ninth in the Eastern Conference to 35-47.

In making the trade for 19th pick, the Bucks dealt away both John Salmons and Corey Maggette.

The Bucks are expected to start Carlos Delfino next year but other than Luc Mbah a Moute, there may be early minutes for Harris to earn.

“People are getting cleared up after I played power forward in college that I can hold my own at small forward,” Harris said last month. “They see a lot of my skill set now and they’re impressed by that.”

Tobias may be a tweener between power and small forward but he and the Bucks may believe the three will work just fine for Harris.
