2011 Fantasy Cheat Sheet: Top 50 Guards

By Tommy Beer
Senior NBA Writer & Fantasy Sports Editor

Last week we released the Updated Top 100 Overall rankings; now it’s time to begin breaking down the performers at each individual position.  Today we’ll start with the guards.

As outlined last week, with these updated lists I approach the rankings as if I was heading into a draft today and each drafted player would start accruing stats from this day forward.  I attempt to factor in prior performance, projected future production, and even try to take into account the possibility/probability of injuries as well – which is always tricky.

It is especially important to mention that, as always, these rankings are based on a nine-category rotisserie league format – the nine categories being: points, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks, three-pointers made, turnovers, FG%, and FT%.

Also please note that any player with guard eligibility in Yahoo! Fantasy Leagues will be listed; which means that many players will be ranked at multiple positions, i.e. guard as well as forward…
