Austin Rivers – Duke, Guard (Fr.)

 

Height: 6’4, Weight: 203 lbs.

2011-2012 Statistics: 15.5 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.1 apg

Strengths: An assertive scorer who can get into the lane virtually at will. Can really handle the basketball. Has extended range out to the NBA three-point line. Comes from a great basketball pedigree.

Weaknesses: A tweener who lacks point guard skills and ideal size for a shooting guard. Turnover prone at times. There are concerns about how well he’ll be able to defend either guard position. Misses too many free throws.

Projection: Mid first round
