The Los Angeles Clippers selected Reggie Bullock with the 25th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.
Bullock is a 6’7″, 200 lbs. forward from North Carolina. The 22-year old junior shot 42.9% from three-point range last season while averaging 13.9 points a game for the Tar Heels.
On Wednesday, Gary Sacks, the team’s vice president of basketball operations, said the Clippers were looking both for shooting and defensive ability (especially in the perimeter).
Bullock was one of the best catch-and-shoot players in the NCAA last year.
Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations and Coach Doc Rivers didn’t have a lot of time to prepare for the draft, joining the franchise in the last few days. The Clippers expect free-agent point guard Chris Paul to re-sign with the team in July.
Los Angeles has explored a number of trades this offseason, some including incumbent starter Caron Butler. Matt Barnes is a free agent the team hopes to bring back.
The Clippers also considered getting a big man for their bench.
