Miami Heat (66-16) vs. San Antonio Spurs (58-24)
All games on ABC; all times p.m. Eastern
Season series: Heat swept 2-0.
How they made it: The Heat swept the Milwaukee Bucks 4-0, beat the Chicago Bulls 4-1 and beat the Indiana Pacers 4-3s. The Spurs swept the Los Angeles Lakers 4-0, beat the Golden State Warriors 4-2 and swept the Memphis Grizzlies 4-0.
Points per game (per 100 possessions): Heat 102.9 (110.3), Spurs 103.0 (105.9).
Points allowed per game (per 100 possessions): Heat 95.0 (100.5), Spurs 96.6 (99.2).
Matchups worth watching: Heat small forward LeBron James vs. Spurs small forward Kawhi Leonard, Heat center Chris Bosh vs. Spurs center Tim Duncan.
Scoring leaders: James (26.8 ppg), Spurs point guard Tony Parker (20.3 ppg)
Why Miami will win: The Spurs don’t have a rim protector of Roy Hibbert’s caliber. The Pacers were able to give the Heat problems by preventing them from scoring in transition and in the paint. And the Heat still have, by far, the best player in the series.
Why San Antonio will win: The Spurs are deeper than the Heat and have had more consistent outside shooting throughout the playoffs. James and Shane Battier will have their hands full with Parker, who had a stellar Western Conference Finals.
Did you know? Duncan, Parker and Manu Ginobili are the only three teammates to make the NBA Finals four times who did not play for the Los Angeles Lakers or Boston Celtics.
Prediction: Heat in 7.
