2013 NBA First Round Mock Draft – 2/13/13

The complexion of the 2013 NBA Draft completely changed on Tuesday evening when Kentucky freshman center Nerlens Noel went down with a knee injury that was officially diagnosed as a torn ACL on Wednesday. Noel was just hitting his stride and really starting to shine with the Wildcats. He was back in the mix for the top overall spot, but this injury likely derails that possibility. However, based on the projected strength of the 2014 NBA Draft with potential star players like the Harrison twins, Jabari Parker and Andrew Wiggins, we are still going to include Noel in our 2013 mocks moving forward because leaving this year still appears to be in his best interest. Below is an updated 2013 first round mock draft that shows how much we think Noel’s stock has taken a hit with this unfortunate injury.
