Cameron in :
Hey coach, considering the raptors need a back up PG, and the blazers are actively shopping sergio. Think it would be a good idea for the raptors to send one of their bigs like humphries over.
Mike Moreau:
Welcome to Wednesdays, everybody! Countdown to the draft - tons of questions coming in, I'll turn on the speed. Let's get right to it:
Seems like a good move, but don't know if anyone is standing in line for Kris Humphries. With so many point guards in this draft, the Raps might be able to deal for another pick and grab a nice back up point tomorrow night.
Pepe in Portland, OR:
As I look through all the players rated to be drafted, it seems those
who played Defense in college get ignored for players who scored.
Do teams believe they can simply coach them up?
Mike Moreau:
I think that defensive ability, or more importantly, that "willingness" to defend, gets undervalued, as well. However, much of defense is about desire and effort, and most coaches believe they can get players to buy in. But, there are technical aspects and schemes that require more than just effort, and those are what really separate the good and great defensive players and teams. Many of those players who become very good defenders in the NBA are guys who already are in college, and often those guys get found in the late first, early second round.
Ion in Dallas:
Any truth to the rumor Okafor, Bell for Stack and Damp?
Marc Cuban in dallas:
Who can I get so I can start competing with the Lakers and
Denver?
Mike Moreau:
Someone else to sit in your courtside seat. You are a distraction to your team, and you often become the issue. Your antics are a sideshow that your team doesn't need.
Joe in Tel Aviv, Israel:
IWith Detroit seeming to try and shed
salaries, why wouldn't they take the
supposed boston deal (Rajon+Ray for Rip,
Stuckey and Prince)? They would be
getting the best player and shedding two
terrible contracts.
Mike Moreau:
I wouldn't part with Stuckey or Prince, and putting all of the eggs in the 2010 free agent basket seems like an awfully risky gamble.
david in poland, europe:
Hi coach!
which player do you think fits best into the post-RJ-trade San antonio? should they look for a center or a power forward? go for sheed or maybe gortat/birdman?
Mike Moreau:
Sheed or Birdman for the pure entertainment value, but Gortat might be the best fit. He defends and is a better offensive player than he gets credit for.
andrew in la:
why did the wolves trade Brandon Roy for Randy Foye and give up on him in 3 years ?
Mike Moreau:
That is a question that has plagued philosophers throughout the ages from Plato to Thomas Aquinas to Bob Dylan.
Joe in Tel Aviv, Israel:
Should boston try to pick up Uberto with
the vet min or part of the MLE? I would
rather have him than 6"7 BBD for 5 Mil a
year.
Mike Moreau:
Not me. Big Baby was BIG in the playoffs, Joe. And he will only get better.
david in poland, europe:
do you think ryan hollins can be a starter some day? he is sooo athletic and maybe it is time to start him for dampier?
Mike Moreau:
He was an effective change of pace in the playoffs. He needs extended playing time to learn how to play without fouling, but I think it might be a good move for Dallas. They need a shake up.
david in poland, europe:
if you were to choose a all-defensive team from active nba players, what your selections would be?
Mike Moreau:
I think they already have one of those. Most of the inactive players are probably inactive for a reason.
Bill in oakland:
with the 7 pick wariors select jordan hill or some pg? your tougHts?
Mike Moreau:
Some point guard sounds good to me. They need a floor general, and their are lots of good ones available.
Tyler in St Louis, MO:
Coach, what do you think of Stan Van Gundy looking to incorporate the triangle into the Magic offense? Isn't that usually based around a dominant guard?
Mike Moreau:
Stan's offense is based on his personnel, which starts with a dominant post player, and creating point guard, and lots of shooters surrounding Superman. They ballscreened their way to the Finals, so I wouldn't expect any drastic changes.
Cjg in :
Would golden state trade A Randolph, marrow & 7th pick for the
2nd
Mike Moreau:
I don't think so. Randolph has a chance to be great, and Morrow is a terrific shooter. Both should be part of the future in GS.
Jason in GA:
I'm actually going to ask a question that's not about Noah. Who is the better fit for Chicago? James Johnson, Henderson, or Blair?
Mike Moreau:
Depends on what personnel changes are coming for them, but I would say Blair off the top of my head. Can never have too many tough, character guys who will defend and rebound.
Adam in Canadian in Europe:
Hello Coach, exciting times! Raps need a 2 and a back up point. Take the best g/sf available with the 9 and buy a 1st from a team and target Maynor, thoughts on the plan?
Mike Moreau:
I like the plan. They will have to work some kind of deal to get that second pick, but a scorer and a point would help them alot. Don't know if it's Maynor, but there will be a solid backup point available late first/early/mid second.
Marcus in Milwaukee,WI:
Will Amir Johnson be the Starting PF next season or Kurt thomas or Ersan Ilyasova and what will Amir bring to the Bucks and does this change who the Bucks look at in the draft.
Mike Moreau:
Big things were expected from Amir this year in Detroit, and it didn't pan out for whatever reason. A new start might lead to a better result.
Marcus in Milwaukee,WI:
Will Ramon Sessions and Charlie Villanueva be back now that they have cap space
Mike Moreau:
If they have it, they should try to keep both.
Eddy Curry in Chicago I.L.:
Any chance I am playing with lebron james this coming season
for the cavs. I heard me and jared jefferies for ben wallace??
Mike Moreau:
Any chance you can stay in shape and be the hardest working guy in the gym? That should be your focus, Eddy.
Saulo in MN:
Personally I didn't like the trade involving miller, but its done. So..with 5 and 6 what are the best combinations for a backcourt:Flynn/evans,Evans/curry,Flynn/curry,Flynn/DeRozan,Curry/DeRozan..or any other suggestion?
Mike Moreau:
Actually, I like the trade. Flynn/DeRozan gives you more of a classic 1 and 2. But, hard to let Curry slip away - he has that special something the others may not have.
Warren in Washington:
When you look at the Warriors roster, who is the player they could add in this draft that could really pose a dangerous starting five?
Mike Moreau:
Whoever they think is the most true point guard, unless they are giving the ball to Monte and letting him run the show. Lots of good ones in this draft.
Jade Wilson in Arizona:
Any way the suns get a deal done before or on draft night to either move up or to get rid of shaq?
Mike Moreau:
Anything is possible. They still have to figure out who they are before they can know who they want. Clarity leads to better decision making. Right now, their master plan seems a bit murky to me.
Jade Wilson in Arizona:
Does the suns/thunder swap have any legs?
Mike Moreau:
I wouldn't put anything past OKC. They really like their young core, so they are going to be very strategic in their moves. There will be no team more prepared on draft night ready to pull the trigger with contingency scenarios than the Thunder. Magnets and dry erase markers will be flying in the war room!
Jade Wilson in Arizona:
What are the chances the suns trade j-rich this summer?
Mike Moreau:
No way to know what they will do. Does he fit their long-term vision? Do they have a long-term vision? Or any vision at all?
Nick B in Wimbledon:
What can I do about this stuck zipper? Seriously though - you trained Robert Dozier, does he have a shot?
Mike Moreau:
David can fix anything. Dozier is long, athletic and versatile. There is a place for him in the NBA. It's all about right place, right time, right system - right fit for guys like him.
paolo in Manila:
thabeet or bynum? who is better
Mike Moreau:
Bynum, Bynum, Bynum is better, better, better. Not even close.
Ash in Toronto Canada:
Who is James Johnson? How did his name come about on the raptor's draft board?
Mike Moreau:
He's coming up because of the possibility of losing Shawn Marion. Johnson is one of those versatile, combo 3/4 guys like an Earl Clark. Aren't alot of prototypical small forward 3 men in the draft, so that's why he's in the conversation.
EMEKA OKAFOR in CHARLOTTE:
WILL I GET TRADED...TO WHO, FOR WHO
Mike Moreau:
Hard to say, Emeka I wouldn't trade you. You should be the anchor of that team with shooters and creators around you.
swav in brooklyn:
Josh howard and jerry stackhouse for vince carter
Mike Moreau:
With the Spurs heisting Richard Jefferson, it puts pressure on everyone else to make a move. Vince to Dallas would make things interesting.
sean knighr in charlotte:
wo will we draft, what off-eason moves do you see us making
Mike Moreau:
You guys need some scoring, probably at two guard. DeRozan will probably be gone,Henderson is a 2 who might be there, but Earl Clark may be there as a versatile Lamar Odom type 4. Everybody can use a player like that.
Dave in St.Louis:
Is Joakim Noah A True 7-footer; Because you always get the listings from the official team site 6 foot 11 or 6 foot 10 a coach what`s the difference aren`t they all 7footers in the NBA. Thanks Coach for clearing this up for me
Mike Moreau:
Seemed pretty close to me. We had another 7 footer in the gym, Russell Hicks, who is playing right now for the Canadian National Team. They were eyeball to eyeball. But, regardless of the official measurements, Joakim plays even bigger. How big you play is much more important than how big you measure.
Chris in Denver:
Assuming he's still there for the nuggets at 34, Do you think AJ Price could be a serviceable backup to chauncey in Denver? Does he have NBA 3 pt range? NBA athleticism?
Mike Moreau:
He never shot a high percentage from the field at UCONN, but shot over 40% from three this year. He can create and make plays. I still like Toney Douglass if he's there, but Price could be a good fit. I liked him at UCONN.
Mike in :
Coach Mike, what do think the Grizz should do on Thursday night, take Rubio or trade down and get a guy like Jordan Hil or Thabeet? I've heard Thabeet's desireis in question, would you want to coach a player who's desire is in question?
Mike Moreau:
I've watched alot of tape on Rubio the last week, and I think he clearly brings the best passing ability, and maybe even more importantly, the best passing "mentality" of any point guard in the draft. He's only 18, and I think he can be an all-star one day. Teaming him back up with his Olympic mate Marc Gasol has some intrigue, and Rubio and Conley would be a great change of pace point guard combo. With regard to Thabeet, if your desire or character is in question, that's a problem that might only get worse on a bad team. And any time you get labeled as any kind of attitude, desire, work ethic problem, that is a problem I don't want to inherit as a coach. Hopefully that will change with maturity for Thabeet, but I think Rubio could be the best play to give the Grizzle some sizzle.
Justin in Memphis, TN:
Of the big 3 for the clippers, which one of them do you think is the most likely to be moved to make room for Griffin?
Mike Moreau:
The oldest, most problematic. The one who least willing to fit with the young guns. Only they internally know that. Or, being the Clippers, maybe they don't.
Hiding in my bedroom:
Why doesn't anybody want to play in Memphis, is it because of the city or just the team? Also, please say the C's aren't trading Rajon Rondo, please?!?!?
Mike Moreau:
Losing, instability, lack of identity, coaching changes - that will make your destination less than desirable. If Rondo is being shopped, it's because the stories of his "uncoachability" are a real problem. There have to be some serious issues behind the scenes in Boston if it's gotten to that point. Look for them to try and make a move on draft night to get up there to grab a young point guard if the Rondo situation is what it seems to be.
Makis Johnson(Joakim Noah`s #1 fan) in Lynchburg,VA:
hey what zup Coach; Joakim Noah is a special player, he plays with a toughness and plays with a big heart. He is a 7footer who gives his all.(Like I`m sure you witness this first hand he is a beast). BULLS BETTER NOT TRADE HIM
Mike Moreau:
Couldn't have said it better myself, Makis. You don't win back-to-back NCAA titles and play the way he did in the playoffs this year without having some special qualities. Trade him at your own peril.
Kyle in TO:
Hey Mike, whos the better fit 4 the Raps: DeRozan or Henderson? Who will be the better player: As a rookie? In 3 yrs? Career~wise? Thx
Mike Moreau:
Eye of the beholder. DeRozan has more size and maybe a higher ceiling. But, I think Henderson may end up being a better pro than expected. No one can know how things will play out in the future. If both want to be coached, I'd be happy with either one.
Hiding in my bedroom:
Hey Mike. In need of a big man, will the Celtics try and sign their 2008 2nd round pick Semih Erden, who just finished his european contract?
Mike Moreau:
I'm not sure Boston needs a big man, with Perk, KG, Powe and Baby. I think they need perimeter shooting/scoring, a combo 1/2, or a 2/3. And, it is sounding like Rondo has worn out his welcome. Talk of his "uncoachability" is growing. That's a shame for him, because his career will plummet if that is indeed the case. Why are you hiding in your bedroom? Get out there, man!
MIKE in Memphis:
Coach, Should teams draft players who dont want to play for their club or take them off their draft board? Do you think it hurts the team, draft process or the players on these NBA teams more?
Mike Moreau:
You certainly don't attempt to keep a guy who doesn't want to play for you. But, you draft based on value - either to you or to someone else. If another team covets a particular player, you draft him and trade him, and hopefully get more in return than you could have drafted. I don't think it necessarily hurts anyone, just adds the human element and more intrigue to the story. Players should tread very softly when expressing displeasure at playing for a particular team. You get labeled as a problem, and usually follows you through your career. Just shut up and be humble, grateful, and be appreciative for having a job most people would die for.
Ian in :
Not much Kings talk on here with a 4th pick. Frustrarting! Can you talk a bit about what f.a. the Kings may acquire this off season, and who they may get for K-9's expiring contract?
Mike Moreau:
I'd go after Linas Kleiza - a tough 3 man who can score, defend and rebound, which brings two things the Kings don't do. Hope they don't pass on Rubio if he's there at #4. Who is their decision maker?
Ryan in Boston:
Any truth to the celtics sending rondo/scalabrine/giddens to
memphis for conley and gay?
Mike Moreau:
I don't know, but that is intriguing. If Rondo is indeed as "uncoachable" as we are hearing, then Boston will try to unload him, and some unsuspecting team will inherit a problem.
Jesse in Philippines:
Is this possible andrew bynum, lakers 29th pick in the draft, sun yue
for grizzlies marc gasol, 2nd pick in the draft and fillers. Memphis
gets bynum to go with gay and mayo while lakers get spanish
armada of the 2 gasols and ricky rubio.
Mike Moreau:
Memphis would be crazy to do that, in my opinion, and so would the Lakers. The implication for Memphis is that Bynum is going to be better down the road than Gasol. I'm not sure that's the case - especially if Bynum changes from a world championship team to a loser. For the Lakers, Bynum has been a beast when he is healthy, and his defensive ability and IQ got better as the playoffs went on - especially in Games 3,4 and 5 against Orlando. I think he's the perfect compliment to Pau. And to me, no way is all that worth giving up the #2 pick.
sean in san antonio:
who got the better deal the washington wizards or minnesota timberwolves?
Mike Moreau:
We won't know until draft night, but it seems on the surface like a win-win, especially if the Wiz weren't real excited about their draft prospects. Washington has to win now, and Foye and Miller help them do that. They don't need any more young hopefuls. And, Minnesota can go back-to-back with two top picks. Win-win.
sean in san antonio:
who got the better deal san antonio spurs or milwaukee bucks?
Mike Moreau:
Heist for the Spurs on the surface - got a potential all-star for nothing. But, it could set in motion some good things in the future for the Bucks, with cap space and a chance for development for Joe Alexander. If I'm a Spurs fan, I'm elated. If I'm a Bucks fan, I'm stuck in "OK - everybody in - One-Two-Three-Rebuild!" Go team.
Jeremy in Bay Roberts, NL:
Just wondering if any rumors the raps move up to nab Harden? Is Harden that much better then say Derozan or Henderson? I heard that the bulls were offering #16 and #26 for Nets. Why dont raps give up #9 and take 16 and 26 from the bulls get t. will?
Mike Moreau:
Only if they think he is the absolute best two guard in the draft. Hard to say that with any certainty. All three guys would help them in some manner. If Toronto can work a deal to get two picks in the first, look for that to happen.
Dave in Rip City:
Do you agree with the style of play Nate McMillian runs in Portland? It seems to me like the team is built to run and he might hold them back a little. Thoughts?
Mike Moreau:
I think he knows his team and their style works well for them. Running teams become less running in the playoffs, so it may do them well to play as they do if they want to advance in the coming years. If their defense continues to improve, the running opportunities will be there. I would trust Nate and be supportive. It's all about winning, and they are on the right track.
Dave in Rip City:
Word in the local media is that Oden is on the east coast with a great big man coach and Bayless is there working with him. If you were that big man coach what would be priority number one with the big fella?
Mike Moreau:
Work with him on defensive positioning, footwork, and body control to keep him out of foul trouble. He's got to eliminate the 1 or 2 silly fouls per game that get him in trouble. Also, just continue to work a basic offensive plan in the post. That's what I would do - pretty basic stuff. It's not landing the Space Shuttle.
Argie Grigorakos in Toronto:
Hey Coach,
Seeing that you are working with Joakim Noah, in what areas do you see him improving on most next season (eg. free throws, man on man d, post ups. Thanks.
Mike Moreau:
I think his shooting form and release will continue to become more consistent, which will lead to a better percentage at the line. He will also continue developing an offensive plan in the post. It will be a step by step, year by year improvement, and I think you will see his offensive numbers improve at each stage. He's too coachable and works too hard for that not to happen.
Daniel in Toronto:
is it just me but was that was/min trade lob-sided for the wiz cause they got some good players for spare parts and the #5?
Mike Moreau:
I think both got what they wanted. Looks like win-win to me - a short term for one team and long term for another. We'll know in 3 years.
BlazersSupporter in side Scarllet Johanssen:
If youre coaching PORTLAND do you put Bayless in the rotation as a PG or SG???
also, does Outlaw potential, in a good team like hes in, is to be only a nice 6th man?
Mike Moreau:
It's up to Bayless to put himself in the rotation, and no reason he can't play some combo of both. I do like Outlaw as that 6th man, off the bench scorer.
Jimmy G. in San Diego,Ca:
Hi, what moves do you see the lakers making this offseason. Do you think they could trade Morrison and possibly Walton or Vuajic for a possible upgrade at Point Gaurd?
Mike Moreau:
I think they can get a pretty good point guard at the end of the first round. An athletic big - hustler, rebounder, defender type can be had as well. Walton proved his value in the playoffs this year. He's a keeper. Sasha did not, and I'm not sure there are any takers for him or Morrison.
Maurice in Milwaukee,WI:
Can we now say this is Andrew Bogut team (i hope) now this free up more shots for him who's your starting 5 here my [Johnson-Mbah a Moute-Bogut-Redd-?]
Mike Moreau:
Time for Andrew to take the reigns. It will be very interesting to see which guys step up in Milwaukee to fill the RJ void. The young talent must step to the forefront.
Eddie in Maryland:
Is the move that Washington made last night really going to (potentially) get them into atleast an Eastern Conference Finals shot? Or is it another move to get fans like myself hyped for no reason?
Mike Moreau:
You got two proven, veteran perimeter players - adding shooting and scoring. You also have a new coach who is a winner. You can be optimistically confident that you are now a better team. I see a nice playoff run in your future.
Eddie in Maryland:
Why aren't more people talking about James Harden? He looks to go to OKC at #3 and I really like that pick for that team.
Mike Moreau:
I think alot of people are talking about him. A scoring two gives them a ton of offensive firepower. I still am intrigued by Thabeet there for them. They need defense and shot blocking, but they may not be sold that he is that guy. His character, work ethic, etc. may cause them to pass.
Eddie in Maryland:
Where will my favorite player, Rasheed Wallace, end up playing next year? I would love to see him back (technically) in a Wiz uniform but wishful thinking on my part.
Mike Moreau:
Just for the pure dramatic potential and entertainment value, I'd like to see him in San Antonio.
david in poland, europe:
would you beat eric pincus 1vs1? he is said to have great stroke from outside.
Mike Moreau:
I hear he can stroke it, but I've never seen Eric play. It may come down to who has the most lateral movement left. I run in straight lines these days, but can still shoot - like riding a bike.
Mike in Chi-Town:
After the Wolves trade for the #5 pick, how does the top 10 of the draft look now.
Mike Moreau:
Check out the Hoopsworld mock, which is being shuffled as we speak.
Larry Bird in Indy, IN:
If the Pacers take a PF, I'm leaning towards Hansbrough over Blair. Am I making the right decision?
Mike Moreau:
That's a tough one Larry. I don't think you can go wrong with either guy. Like choosing an ice cream flavor - no right or wrong answer. Just which one do you like the best? I lean toward Blair simply because I've been on the court with him and gotten to know him - I know how good he is and what a great teammate he will be.
Steve in Cleveland:
There have been rumors that the cavs are trying to buy a pick
in the mid-first round or trade some cap relief to get even
higher. Who are potential trade partners regarding the draft
and how high could they could realistically get via trade?
Mike Moreau:
There are dozens of different scenarios floating around. Impossible to say.
Bill in Chi-town:
Hey Mike, Just wanted to get our weekly check up on Noah. Is he getting stronger and do you feel he's going to take a big step this year and be 32-35 minute man in the middle? I have high hopes that he's our answer for the next 8-10 years!
Mike Moreau:
He was only here for two weeks, and we hope to see him again before training camp. He's your guy.
mp in LA, CA:
does this trade make the spurs championship contenders?
Mike Moreau:
Without a doubt - gives TD one last 2-3 year run at getting #5. They just set the bar for everyone else in the West.
eric in ct:
who will the knicsk draft? and why is jrue holiday rated so high after his terrible college season?
Mike Moreau:
Terrible is a subjective term, Eric. Jrue expected to be the point guard at UCLA, as Collison was thought to be moving on. When Collison stayed, Jrue got moved off the ball. He's got all the physical tools, basketball IQ, and character to be a top quality NBA point guard. And with his size and length, he can separate himself from the pack.
dave in indy:
Is DeJuan Blair the best fit for the Pacers?
Mike Moreau:
I think he's a great fit for any team, and maybe the great complimentary piece the Pacers need to make a jump into the playoffs. I'd draft him without hesitation.
mike in texas:
will jordan hill still there for the nuggets at 7?
Mike Moreau:
Looks to be the case. My question would be do they need more of a face up 4 man, as to not get in Nene's wayway.
Odie in Atl, GA:
Will the Bulls finally decide to give up on Big (lil) Ben and get some size at the 2 and 4? They already have Salmons in house and 2010 will bring some type of capable 4.
Or how abour Deng and Hinrich to Philly for Brand and J. Smith
Mike Moreau:
If they do, they will have to find 20 more points and a go-to scorer down the stretch. I would be very reluctant to trade Deng and/or Hinrich, especially if Ben walks.
Mike in OP:
If LBJ does not sign with NY in 2010, how do you think their starting 5 will look in 2010.
Mike Moreau:
The Knicks? Or the Cavs? Too many variables to predict either one at this point.
Dale in Miami:
Have you heard anything involving Miami at all?
Mike Moreau:
I think they need a backup point or combo who can score, which they should be able to get in the second round.
mike in indy:
plz answer this question. Are the Pacers involved in any trade talks? And, are they talking to any free agents?
Mike Moreau:
Steve Kyler is your guy for that.
joseph d. in Chicago, illinois:
You think the bulls might make a big trade on draft night?
Mike Moreau:
They have alot of valuable pieces. I would think they will be on the phone.
Mark in London:
Hi Mike! Please answer my question from across the pond! Does yesterdays trade of Jefferson affect who the Buck draft tomorrow?! Thanks!
Mike Moreau:
It means they better get that pick right.
Derek in Mpls, MN:
Do teh Wolves trade up for Rubio or Thabeet? If so, do they cant't use the 5 and the 6...right?
Mike Moreau:
Others on the staff are better at the draft scenarios. I don't think they will. They are in perfect position to get what they need.
dan in postgradland, FL:
Andre Miller to the Cavs. Less money for a shot at the title. Out of all of the point guards in this draft, who would you want on your side in a street fight?
Mike Moreau:
He can't shoot. What does that do to Mo Williams? Does he become Lou Williams? In a street fight, I'll take Aaron Jackson and we're walking out together.
dont know in uhh:
how about eric dampier for rip hamilton straigh up
Mike Moreau:
You're right, you don't.
Rich in Oak Ridge, TN:
With yesterday's trade, the Wiz have 7-8 guards and 4-5 F & C, do you believe that the Wiz are working on a another trade that could include their second round pick?
Mike Moreau:
Very possibly. They want to win right now, before Agent Zero goes down again, so expect them to stay active.
john in michigan:
any speculations now, that detroit has opened up a lil more cap space...to maybe gettin 2 big time fa?
Mike Moreau:
I think they are more in trade mode at this point. Aren't they trying to save for 2010?
wizzie in australia:
hey coach,
with the wizards trade, what else do you think they need to be a legit contender?
Mike Moreau:
If everyone is healthy, which is the "Giant, Elephant In The Room" if, they need one more interior guy with some toughness. They are close if they can develop a tougher, defensive mentality.
Marcinko in Rob Kurz Fanclub:
Is my favorite Warrior down there now?
Mike Moreau:
You bet - making every shot and expanding his game!
Jai in Nashville, TN:
Any new member signing to your Jordan-Magic-Bird club?
Mike Moreau:
We nominated Kareem during the season, but are waiting on the committee to vote.
Laker Fan in LA:
I actually think the Lakers set the bar by winning the whole damn thing.
Mike Moreau:
Yes, that's what that means.
mike in australia:
where will patty mills end up
Mike Moreau:
Impossible to say. To his advantage, it looks like it will be on a playoff team.
Todd in Orlando, FL:
Do you think Memphis will trade down?
Mike Moreau:
If they can get Rubio, they should pull the trigger. If they can't make that work, then maybe they do trade down for a team who values him. I've been watching alot of tape on him, and I'm convinced he's the guy.
Garrett Guynes in War Room:
So how many guys that will be drafted tomorrow night actually trained at IMG in the last few months?
Mike Moreau:
Anywhere from four to seven I would think. But we care just as much about the guys who will be battling for summer league spots and playing overseas.
Back to the court! Best of luck to your teams in the draft - expect lots of action and movement over the next 30 hours. Thanks for your questions - sorry if I didn't get to yours. See you next Wednesday!
