People expect Greg Oden to wreck havoc on centers around the league when the regular season tips-off in a couple weeks, but not his own teammate on a Thursday night in an open run.
Portland Trail Blazers reserve center Joel Przybilla took an elbow over the right eye from Oden during an open scrimmage at Cleveland High School in southeast Portland and needed about four to five stitches to close the wound.
"Joel is fine. Greg went up for a rebound and went down on his head," head coach Nate McMillan said after the full-court hour long scrimmage.
"He'll have a few marks for a few days."
After taking the elbow, Przybilla went to the ground quickly covering his right eye which had already started to bleed. Blazers trainer Jay Jensen applied a towel to Przybilla's eye before helping him off the floor. It was a very nasty cut to say the least.
The last thing Portland needs right now is another player banged-up.
Martell Webster is likely out until January, but the good news is both forward Channing Frye and point guard Steve Blake returned to practice this week and will be ready to play come Monday when the Blazers face the Sacramento Kings in preseason action.

This kind of injury is painful, but it doesn't affect Pryz's ability to play in the least. We now only have one player (not counting Raef) hurt. The others are in great shape. Portland is ready.

The season hasn't really started yet and everytime I check out a sport webite, and see some little news from Portland. Getting tired of it, as it seems that if Oden farts it'll make headlines news. WTF!
