LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Los Angeles Clippers guard Baron Davis
is not expected to be in the lineup when the team visits the
Utah Jazz on Saturday.

Davis left Friday's 113-103 overtime loss to the Denver Nuggets
due to an injured left hip, sustained when he crashed to the
floor while trying to block a layup by Dahntay Jones in the
second quarter.

He immediately went to the locker room and did not return.

"(Davis) was able to stand up and walk on his own after being
injured," Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy said. "I asked him if he
needed to come out of the game and he said, 'Yes.'"

Davis, who signed a five-year, $65 million contract in the
offseason to join the Clippers as a free agent, finished with
six points and four rebounds in 13 minutes. He entered the
season with a partial tear to a ligament in his left ring
finger.
