Bat storms court, chases player at Marquette

There’s such a thing as game getting too wild or out of control. But in Saturday’s game between Marquette and Providence, it wasn’t a player, coach or even fan going wild.
The Big East Conference game was stopped during the second half when a bat flew onto the Bradley Center court on Saturday.
Even crazier, the bat chased Providence player Bryce Cotton, the Big East’s leading scorer, while he was dribbling up the court.
According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, players were trying to dodge the bat and officials were running away from it while it flew around.

This is getting really funny. Players and coaches from both teams are throwling towels at the bat. Their shooting percentage there isn’t so good.
Providence coach Ed Cooley has a towel on his head. So do the TV announcers.
The game has been stopped and the lights have been turned off inside the Bradley Centr with 736 left. They are serious about catching this bat.
It’s turned into a carnival with the lights off. Fans are waving their cell phones in the dark as if they were at a concert. They are playing a Whitney Houston song. Not sure if that will get rid of it.
Marquette was leading 59-51 with 8:52 remaining when play was stopped. The Golden Eagles went on to win 81-71.
This is nuts. I’ve heard of a bat out of … well, you know.
