Akron suspends PG Alex Abreu

The University of Akron suspended sophomore point guard Alex Abreu.

The suspension went into effect for Saturday night’s home game against Detroit.

Akron coach Keith Dambrot, citing privacy concerns, did not specify how long the suspension will last.
