Amar’e Showing Signs of Improvement

Playing in his fourth game back from left knee surgery in late October, the New York Knicks’Amar’e Stoudemire played his most minutes of the season against the Boston Celtics on Monday night.

In 28 minutes on Monday, Stoudemire scored 13 points to go along with 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block. Stoudemire has actually increased his points total in each game he has played — from 6 to 10 and then 11.

Perhaps most important, Stoudemire looked fresh throughout the entire fourth quarter. He wasn’t subbed out until there were 36 seconds remaining. With the game getting more intense as both teams fought hard in the final minutes, Stoudemire’s body didn’t appear to back down from the challenge. He battled inside to help the Knicks get some stops, and he scored five points.
