Stoudemire Rusty in Preseason Debut

(Amar’e) Stoudemire made his preseason debut Friday night and tried out some of the low-post moves he worked on with Hakeem Olajuwon during the summer. At this point, Stoudemire needs more work.

He had some strong moves during his 18-point night but also appeared to be trying too hard to make plays down low in the Knicks’ 107-88 loss to Toronto at the Bell Centre.

Although Stoudemire looked rusty at times, with five fouls and three turnovers, he seems to have gotten some of his explosiveness back after an injury-plagued season.
