Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut underwent a scan on his fractured left ankle and received some positive news after the results were analyzed by team orthopedic surgeon Michael Gordon and several other specialists.

Gordon indicated Bogut’s ankle was healing appropriately and surgery would not be required, pending an additional exam in about one month.

Bogut will be able to begin some rehabilitation activities, the team announced, and the recovery period of eight to 12 weeks has not changed.
