Andrew Bynum has occasionally flattened his hair this season, because it’s not like he has anything else to do while he recovers from a knee injury.

The look has drawn comparisons to Dora the Explorer, Frederick Douglass, a Chia Pet, Ike Turner, Moe from The Three Stooges and Mayor Goldie Wilson, among others.

Erroneous, says Bynum. The true inspiration for his hair comes from a cartoon pimp from The Boondocks.

Bynum told reporters the look wasn’t inspired by Dora, but by Pimp Named Slickback, whose character on the show acts exactly like you think he does.

“I flattened [my hair] because it gets boring picking it out all the time,” he told reporters.

How can you expect a man to pick his hair when there is Pop-A-Shot to be played?

“I want it to grow forever, man,” he said. “It’s going to come a point in time where it’s not going to be growing.”
