When the Boston Celtics take on the Memphis Grizzlies at the TD Garden tonight, Avery Bradley will be back with the team for the first time this season, something the struggling Celtics need.

The 22-year old guard had double-shoulder surgery in the offseason and hasn’t played since Game 4 of the 2012 Eastern Conference semifinals.

The strength of Bradley’s game is defense, something the Celtics, which are 14-16 on the season, are in need. They were second in the league last season in defensive efficiency and have dropped to 13th this season. Coach Doc Rivers indicated Bradley could be in the starting lineup.

The Celtics have gone 3-7 in the past 10 games.

Memphis comes in at 19-6, but has lost three of its past four games.
