Baron Davis to Consider Lakers, HEAT, Knicks
It could be several weeks before veteran point guard Baron Davis’ back allows him back on a basketball court, but a source says Davis hopes to decide by Monday what uniform he’ll be wearing when that happens.
The New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers andMiami Heat have all expressed interest in signing Davis, who was waived by the Cleveland Cavaliers Wednesday via the league’s amnesty clause after his back flared up the first day of training camp. With both the Cavaliers and Davis’ agent, Todd Ramasar, reporting that Davis could miss eight to 10 weeks with his back problems, no team with salary cap space placed a bid on him during the 48-hour waiver period.
