Baylor stays No. 1 in AP women’s poll
Baylor maintained the top spot in the first AP women’s basketball regular-season poll.
The Lady Bears received 35 of 40 first-place votes on Monday following a pair of blowout victories this past week.
No. 2 Notre Dame picked up four first-place votes and was followed by Tennessee, Connecticut and Stanford in the top five.
Texas A&M, which received the other vote, came in at sixth in front of Miami, Duke, Louisville and Maryland.
Ohio State and Texas Tech joined the rankings while Texas and St. John’s fell out.
