Kim Mulkey, head coach of the top-ranked and undefeated Baylor women’s basketball team, revealed she has Bell’s palsy.

The affliction, which isa form of facial paralysis, has affected Mulkey’s left eye and when she attempts to smile.

Mulkey said it will not affect her preparation for Sunday night’s Final Four showdown against Stanford.

“This isn’t going to change how I coach, it isn’t going to change anything,” Mulkey said. “I’ll just be another ugly coach with a crooked face.”

Mulkey said she first noticed symptoms last week. She is being treated with anti-viral medication and oral steroids.

Baylor, featuring 6-foot-8 center Brittney Griner, is 38-0 and two wins from the national championship and first 40-win season in women’s basketball.
