Ben Wallace Re-Considering Retirement?

Despite what he said in mid-February, (Ben) Wallace — who missed Thursday night’s 91-80 loss to Minnesota because of a death in the family — has been noncommittal recently when asked whether this season will be the last.

“Who knows?” he says with a shrug. “Everything’s open.”

Over the past few weeks, Wallace has given teammates reason to believe this might not be the end after all.

“You’d think that he’d be practicing, like, this is his farewell tour,” Pistons guard Will Bynum said. “But he’s practicing hard every single day, and he’s playing a high level of minutes. He knows he’s still doing stuff that a lot of younger players coming into the league can’t do.”
