Griffin wants scoring title, needs 760 points

Kevin Durant conceded his chance of winning the 2013 scoring title on Wednesday (via Instagram, for that matter), but don’t go giving it to Carmelo Anthony quite yet. After Durant announced that he would not play in the final game of the season, Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin put his hat in the ring.
So, let’s do the math. Blake is averaging 18.1 points a game this season. Melo is at 28.7. To capture the scoring title, Griffin will need to score 860 points in the Clippers’ final regular-season game against the Sacramento Kings. That’s 47.5 games of his scoring average, and over eight times Wilt Chamberlain’s single-game scoring record of 100.
Seems manageable enough.
