Blazers’ Batum Suffers Concussion in Practice
Portland Trail Blazers forward Nicolas Batum suffered a concussion during practice on Tuesday morning.
Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stotts says Batum went up for a dunk attempt and Will Barton tried to contest it, clashing with Batum, sending him crashing into the stanchion behind the basket. Stotts described it as a “hard fall.”
Batum will have to adhere to the NBA’s concussion protocol before returning to action. He will not be available to play in Wednesday’s exhibition against the Phoenix Suns at the Moda Center.
