Blazers’ Leonard Out at Least Two Weeks
Portland Trail Blazers rookie center Meyers Leonard told reporters at shootaround on Monday that he expects to miss “weeks” more with his sprained right ankle, suffered during a Dec. 29 win over the Philadelphia 76ers. Leonard did not travel on Portland’s recent four-game road trip.
Leonard said he was on crutches for two days and will be in a walking boot for at least five days. While Leonard says that his ankle is improving, he doesn’t have timetable for return.
Leonard, 20, is averaging 4.7 points and 3.5 rebounds per game this season.
