DeMarcus Cousins scored 29 points and had 10 rebounds as the visiting Sacramento Kings sent the Charlotte Bobcats to their 20th straight loss 114-88. The Bobcats, who are 7-56, will finish with the worst winning percentage in NBA history if they lose their last three games. Charlotte finishes the season with road games against Washington on Monday and Orlando on Wednesday before hosting New York on Thursday. Tyreke Evans scored 22 points on 10-of-11 shooting from the field for Sacramento. Byron Mullens, Kemba Walker and Derrick Brown scored 13 points apiece for Charlotte.

It appeared coming into the game the Bobcats had a realistic chance of not only breaking their losing streak but avoiding history as well.

The Kings, who played without leading scorer Marcus Thornton, were tied with New Orleans for the worst record in the Western Conference and had lost nine of 10. Instead, the Bobcats provided little competition. Charlotte never led and the game’s only tie was 2-2.
