Boise St. Joining Big West for Basketball

Boise State has agreed to make the Big West Conference its new home for all non-football sports.

Boise State President Bob Kustra announced Friday the school has accepted an invitation to join the conference starting July 1.

The university has been searching for a new league since the football team agreed to join the Big East next season, a move that also brought an end to the school’s membership in the Mountain West Conference.
