Jennings, Durant NBA players of week
The Milwaukee Bucks’ Brandon Jennings and the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant have been named Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, by the NBA for games played Monday, Jan. 7 through Sunday, Jan. 13.
Jennings led Milwaukee to a 3-1 week, including come-from-behind road victories over the Chicago Bulls and Toronto Raptors. He scored 20 points in the third quarter of the Jan. 9 game at Chicago, 12 of which came from 3-pointers. He was second in the Eastern Conference in scoring with 24.5 points per game, shooting 48 percent from the field. He also averaged 6.5 rebounds and 4 assists.
Durant helped Oklahoma City to a 3-1 record last week, scoring more than 25 points in each game, including a season-high 42 points vs. the Los Angeles Lakers on Jan. 11. He averaged a league-best 32.5 points to go with 6.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game.

Jan. 8 vs. Phoenix: Scored 29 points and dished out nine assists in a 108-99 victory vs. the Suns.
Jan. 9 at Chicago: Tallied 35 points, six rebounds and six assists during a 104-96 win vs. the Bulls.
Jan. 11 vs. Detroit: Scored 15 points and grabbed three rebounds in a 103-87 loss to the Pistons.
Jan. 13 at Toronto: Collected 19 points and collected 10 assists in a 107-96 win vs. the Raptors.
Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City
Jan. 7 at Washington: Recorded 29 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and two blocks in a 101-99 loss to the Washington Wizards.
Jan. 9 vs. Minnesota: Scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds in a 106-84 win vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Jan. 11 at L.A. Lakers: Tallied 42 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four blocks in a 116-101 win vs. the Lakers.
Jan. 13 at Portland: Scored 33 points and dished out six assists in an 87-83 win vs. the Trail Blazers.
