Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant suffered a nasal fracture during Sunday’s All-Star Game, the team announced.

Bryant was fouled by Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade underneath the basket and suffered the injury. A CT scan revealed a broken nose.

Prior to leaving the contest, Bryant became the all-time leading scorer in NBA All-Star Game history.

Bryant eclipsed Michael Jordan’s record of 262 points with a dunk in the third quarter.

He entered the game needing 18 points to tie and 20 points to break the mark. Bryant set the record in 12 games, one fewer than Jordan.

Earlier this month, Bryant moved past former teammate Shaquille O’Neal and into fifth place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.

The 33-year-old Bryant has scored 28,834 points and trails only Wilt Chamberlain (31,419), Jordan (32,292), Karl Malone (36,928) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387).
