Bucks GM: Lack of Size Will be Addressed

The Milwaukee Bucks aren’t afraid to go with a smallish backcourt featuring 6-foot-1 Brandon Jennings and 6-3 Monta Ellis next season.

But one thing that became apparent in the final month of the season was the team’s lack of size.

Bucks general manager John Hammond said that will be a priority during the off-season as the team approaches the June draft, free agency and possible trades.

“Is the size a factor for us? Of course it is. It makes it difficult for Monta.”

Bucks coach Scott Skiles also could size up the situation quickly.

“We need size everywhere,” Skiles said. “Most games, right at the jump ball, when you look at the two teams, the other team is noticeably bigger than us at almost every position on the floor.

“It’s just something that has to be addressed. The guys know it, too. They know we need to get bigger.”
