The Milwaukee Bucks are now in mix to trade for Magic’s guard J.J. Redick. Bucks, I’m told, assessing their ability to retain sharpshooter long term because he will be a free agent in the off-season.

To meet asking price for Redick — expiring(s) contracts and a future first-round pick — Bucks naturally wanna know they can retain the free agent-to-be.
