Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose was fined $25,000 by the NBA on Tuesday, one day after he publicly lashed out at officials following the team’s 104-99 win over the New York Knicks.

“I’ve got to be the only superstar in the league that’s going through what I’m going through right now,” the league’s reigning MVP said. “But I can’t say too much about it.”

Rose admitted earlier on Tuesday that he would likely be fined for his comments. The NBA quickly obliged.

Rose shot 12-of-29 from the floor for a game-high 32 points on Monday, but went to the foul line just nine times and repeatedly showed his displeasure toward the officials for several non-calls.

Rose is averaging 22.9 points and eight assists in 34 games for the Bulls this season.
