Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose will return to the starting lineup for Sunday afternoon’s game against the New York Knicks.

Rose has missed the last 12 contests with a groin injury and 22 games this season due to various injuries.

The NBA’s reigning MVP didn’t express any discomfort after competing in the morning shootaround, ESPN reported.

Coach Tom Thibodeau said that Rose’s minutes will not be restricted.

Rose is averaging 22.8 points and eight assists per game this season.
