Bulls GM Mum on Matching Asik’s Offer
General manager Gar Forman declined to address whether the Bulls will match Omer Asik’s three-year, $24.2 million offer sheet from the Rockets, which Asik will sign when the free-agent moratorium ends July 11.
The Bulls will have three days to match the deal, which could rise slightly in value depending on what the salary cap is set at on July 10.
“I’m not going to talk about any type of negotiation or anything contractually until we see something,” Forman said. “We’ve made it clear we value Omer and it’s been our goal that Omer would stay with the Bulls.”
