Derrick Rose’s situation remains ‘just the same,’ according to Tom Thibodeau, but the Chicago Bulls coach did have some positive news in regards to injured shooting guard Rip Hamilton.

“(He’s) feeling a little bit better,” Thibodeau said. “He’s going to do a little bit of shooting today, but he’s feeling a little better so that’s a good sign.”

Hamilton, who has missed 22 games this season because of various injuries, hasn’t played since Feb. 26 because of a lower back injury. While it’s unclear if he will play again this season, Thibodeau is holding out hope that the veteran guard will return and contribute.

“We want him to get healthy and get back,” Thibodeau said. “He’s got to work hard on his rehab. He’s never had a problem with his back before. Hopefully it will move along quickly.”
