Bulls PG Rose uncertain of status vs. Celtics

Chicago Bulls point guard and reigning NBA MVP Derrick Rose will be a game-time decision against the Boston Celtics Sunday.Rose sat out Friday’s game against the Charlotte Bobcats due to a back injury and has yet to clear up his status for Sunday’s matinee with the Celtics. Rose, who is usually very candid about his injuries, told reporters he is uncertain of how long he will be sidelined.”I really don’t know,” Rose told the Chicago Tribune about playing Sunday. “When I wake up, I usually can tell. … It’s just sore and stiff. I don’t know what to do. Hopefully it will heal in a matter of time.”Rose has missed six games this season due to injury, battling through a bout of turf toe earlier in the schedule. Chicago is 5-1 without the all-star in the lineup this season.Rose is averaging 22 points and 7.8 assists per game. Reserve guard C.J. Watson started in his place versus the Bobcats, scoring seven points and recording five assists.
