Rotnei Clarke scored 16 points and Khyle Marshall 14, powering No. 15 Butler to a 68-49 victory over Duquesne in Atlantic 10 basketball Tuesday night before a crowd of 7,193 at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

The Bulldogs (22-5) are 9-3 in the A-10, including home wins by 15, 12, 17 and 19 points. Butler is 14-0 when Marshall scores 10 or more points.

Kellen Dunham added 11 for Butler, and Andrew Smith had eight points and 10 rebounds.

Derrick Colter scored 11 for Duquesne (8-18, 1-11).

Butler benefited from 48 percent shooting on 3-pointers (10-of-21).

Marshall scored nine points in the opening 5:15 of the second half, expanding Butler’s 14-point halftime lead to 47-27. Clarke gave the Bulldogs their biggest lead, 57-35, with a long 3-pointer midway through the half.

The Bulldogs built a 36-22 halftime lead, sinking seven 3-pointers and restraining Duquesne’s perimeter-oriented offense.

The Dukes’ possessions started far from the basket and usually didn’t get much closer. They shot 35 percent (9-of-26) and were 3-of-10 on 3s. Butler went the entire half with only two fouls.

Dunham scored eight points in an 83-second span, hitting a long two-pointer between two 3s. Butler point guard Alex Barlow, who shoots infrequently, had two 3s and three assists in the half.
