As much as Kevin McHale has praised the abilities of Marcus Camby and Earl Boykins to step in with practice time, he was happier to finally get them on the practice court for the first time with the Rockets on Thursday, calling the workout “invaluable.”

“I’m really proud of the guys,” McHale said. “They’ve gone out and they’ve battled hard and they’re fighting. The time together allows us to get everybody on the same page. There’s times in the game they’ve got the fighting spirit going, they’re battling like crazy, but one guy running one play, another running another play.”
