Carl Landry Signing With Bobcats?
Carl Landry remains an unrestricted free agent, though the Charlotte Bobcats are among the teams still interested in his services.
“#Bobcats still exploring ways to get Carl Landry. Some chance they could end up as a 4th team in that NO-Phoenix-Minnesota trade talk,” Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer tweeted Thursday.
The Bobs have the salary-cap space to sign Landry, but they may be looking at improving things via the aforementioned trade scenario between the New Orleans Hornets, Phoenix Suns and Minnesota Timberwolves.
Regardless, Landry’s agent said Wednesday that his client intends to decide where he will sign in the next several days, according to the San Francisco Chronicles’ Rusty Simmons.
“There are a lot of teams pursuing (Landry), because he’s probably the premier unrestricted free agent on the market,” agent Mark Bartelstein said. “He just has to weigh his different options.”
The Bobcats and Golden State Warriors are the two teams who have been most closely linked to Landry.
