Carlisle didn’t address the impact of Marion’s absence until asked about it by reporters.

“He’s probably our best all-around player, including Dirk, when you’re talking about all phases of the game,” Carlisle said. “He impacts the game in a lot of ways.

“I don’t like bellyaching about this stuff. You guys brought it up. He’s an important guy for us.”
