Carlisle to Integrate Kelenna Azubuike
(Kelenna) Azubuike said he believes he can return to the form when he averaged 14.4 points and 5 rebounds in the 2008-09 season for the Warriors.
The game plan for Azubuike is to have him available for the rest of this season, but with an eye focused on next season. He’s scheduled to play in the summer league for the Mavericks.
“He’s going to join us on a full-time basis now,” Carlisle said. “He’ll be practicing with us. Whether or not he’ll be active will be a game-to-game decision based on the health situation of our club. But this is an opportunity for him to get acquainted with our guys, and for us to integrate him on how we play.”
