Carmelo: ‘Shoulder Popped In and Out’
New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony said that his left arm “popped in and out” of his troublesome left shoulder late in the Knicks’ Game 6 win over the Boston Celtics.
“It’s a little sore. The more I get beat up, the sorer it gets,” Anthony said.
The Knicks All-Star forward re-injured the shoulder during a fourth-quarter collision with Boston guard Avery Bradley.
“It was a little sore throughout the whole game,” Anthony said. “Then when Bradley came and hit my shoulder from behind, it really just kind of popped in and out a little bit. But I’m fine.”
Anthony insisted that he’d be healthy enough to take the floor in Game 1 of the Knicks-Pacers series on Sunday afternoon. Anthony initially hurt his shoulder Wednesday in Game 5 when Celtics forward Kevin Garnett tugged on it.
