Casey: Calderon Key to Raptors’ Success
On Friday, Casey added, Calderon is smart enough to recognize who he is as a player — and who he isn’t, something many NBA players never are able to grasp, preventing them from reaching their potential.
“He knows he’s not a super-duper-star as I call him. He is a big-time NBA player … I know he’s done well for the franchise, and the franchise has done well by him. Both of those equal each other,” he said.
“He’s been a big part of the success they had here. The last time they went to the playoffs, he was on that team. He’s been a big part of us building the culture the right way here.”
