Cavaliers G Gibson has torn tendon
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson has a torn tendon in his left foot and ankle and will likely miss the remainder of the season.Gibson suffered the injuries on March 19 in a game against the New Jersey Nets. X-rays were negative, but an MRI revealed the torn tendon.”I know we’re going to continue to do further evaluation on him,” Cavaliers coach Byron Scott said Tuesday. “We’ve got the best doctors in the world at the Cleveland Clinic. They want to figure out the best way to kind of handle the situation.”Gibson is averaging 7.5 points and 2.2 assists in 26 minutes for Cleveland this season.
