Celts, Clips, Warriors best shot at Paul
The Boston Celtics, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers are leading the pack of teams trying to acquire point guard Chris Paul from the New Orleans Hornets.
According to CBS Sports, the Celtics, Warriors and Clippers are all in the running after the Los Angeles Lakers pulled out of a three-team deal with the Hornets and the Houston Rockets that would have sent Paul to the Lakers. The league, which owns the New Orleans franchise, vetoed the original deal between these teams.
Boston, Golden State, and the Los Angeles Clippers had put talks with the Hornets on hold while the three-team deal was in the works. However, negotiations are expected to heat up now that one of the top point guards in the NBA is still available.
