Garnett to buy share of Serie A club Roma
Boston Celtics veteran forward Kevin Garnett is adding another title to his resume.
No, this one isn’t in the NBA. Instead, the 35-year-old Garnett is expected to become a limited shareholder in the Serie A soccer club Roma.
Roma confirmed to The Associated Press that Garnett accepted an offer from James Pallotta, who is one of four Boston executives who closed a deal in August to become majority owners of the soccer outfit.
Pallotta is also a minority owner of the Celtics.
Garnett joins Miami Heat star LeBron James as NBA players who purchased a stake in a soccer club. James did so with Liverpool FC earlier this year.
