Celtics shopping for big men
The Boston Celtics are in the market for big men.
Centers Jermain O’Neal and Chris Wilcox both missed Wednesday’s loss at Oklahoma City and may not be available after the All-Star break.
Both players flew back to Boston to have their injuries evaluated. O’Neal suffered a sprained left wrist and Wilcox a strained right groin in Monday’s loss at Dallas.
O’Neal has missed seven games this season. He is averaging 5.0 points and 5.4 rebounds. Wilcox is averaging 5.2 points and 3.8 boards.
The Celtics have lost five straight to drop two games below .500 for the season.
