Charleston’s Cremins retires from coaching
Bobby Cremins announced Monday that he is stepping down as head basketball coach at College of Charleston.
Cremins, 64, took a medical leave on Jan. 27 that lasted through the rest of the season, citing physical exhaustion. He said his condition is not life-threatening.
The Cougars finished the season with a 19-11 record, losing in the first round of the Southern Conference tournament.
Cremins coached the past six seasons at Charleston following 19 seasons at the helm of Georgia Tech. He owns a 579-375 career record over 31 years.
