NEW YORK – The Chicago Bulls have depleted lineup and are losing players by the day.
Forward Taj Gibson is the latest to go down. He is day to day with a sore left knee, the same knee he sprained earlier this season, forcing him to miss 10 games.
Center Joakim Noah hasn’t played since March 21 because of a sore right foot. Guard Marco Belinelli is out with an abdominal strain and guard Richard Hamilton is out with lower back problems.
And of course, All-Star guard Derrick Rose hasn’t played all season as he recovers from a torn ACL in his left knee sustained in last season’s playoffs.

Brooklyn had a final chance to tie the score or take the lead, but Lopez’s 17-foot baseline jumper rolled around the rim and out.
Forward Carlos Boozer had 29 points and 18 rebounds, and guard Jimmy Butler had 16 points and 10 rebounds.
The Bulls negated big performance from Nets guard Deron Williams (30 points, 10 assists) and center Brook Lopez (28 points). Undermanned Chicago outrebounded Brooklyn 46-30 and held the Nets to 44.3% shooting.
Who is up next on the Bulls’ roster? Thibodeau doesn’t care. Just get in there and play whether it’s Butler, Robinson, Mohammed, forward Vladimir Radmanovich .
For the most part, Thibodeau continues to generate solid production from a bench that mostly was remade after losing C.J. Watson to the Nets, Omer Asik to the Houston Rockets, Kyle Korver to the Atlanta Hawks, John Lucas to the Toronto Raptors, Mike James to the Dallas Mavericks and Ronnie Brewer to the New York Knicks.
As shorthanded as the Bulls are, they pulled … [For more on Chicago Bulls hold off Deron Williams, Brooklyn Nets, click here.]
