Chinese team alleges Mills faked injury

A Chinese Basketball Association team is alleging that Portland Trail Blazers guard Patty Mills faked a hamstring injury, citing that as the reason for cutting him earlier in the week.Mills missed the previous two weeks with the injury, which Xinjiang suggested he faked to avoid playing for them.”Due to a fake injury, the Xinjiang team has cut the foreign player Mills,” said general manager Hou Wei.Mills joined the team in November after spending nearly two months in Australia. The 23-year-old was cut Tuesday.Mills averaged 5.5 points in just over 12 minutes with Portland last season, his second in the NBA.
