Bosh appears in computer coding PSA
by Chris Chase, USA TODAY Sports
What do Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, will.i.am and Chris Bosh have in common? Besides millions of dollars and a tendency to get unfairly disrespected on the Internet, they all appear in a new PSA advocating for computer coding to be taught in schools. You’ll want to watch the whole thing.
Bosh’s quotes are excerpted in two parts of the video. They appear below, in bold.
“Coding is something that can be learned.”
This sounds like the lead sentence to a paper written by a high-school student who didn’t realize his written report on computers was due today.
“And I know it can be intimidating. A lot of things are intimidating but what isn’t?”
Puppies. Ice cream cones. Chris Bosh when he was running out the string in Toronto.
“When I was in school, I was in this after-school group called The Whiz Kids.”
And here LeBron James thought Dwyane Wade’s WOW (“Way of Wade”) nickname was the worst self-administered moniker he’d hear all week.
“People found out, they laughed at me.”
Chris Bosh attended classes at the setting of a 1980′s after-school special? I’m not saying he’s fibbing, it’s just that if anyone in this video was getting laughed at in high school, it was the guy with two periods in his first name.
“I was like man, ‘I don’t care, I think it’s cool and I’m learning a lot and some of my friends have jobs.”
Even Whiz Kids gotta eat, y’all.… [For more on Chris Bosh's incredible performance in computer coding PSA, click here.]
