An MRI on Cleveland Cavaliers rookie guard Dion Waiters revealed a contused left ring finger, but he is cleared to play, according to a team release.

Also, a repeat MRI and electromyogram (EMG) on Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson confirmed a contused right elbow, and he is day-to-day. An EMG measures the electrical activity of muscles at rest and during contraction. Nerve conduction studies measure how well and how fast the nerves can send electrical signals.

Cleveland point guard Kyrie Irving, last season’s rookie of the year, is out until early-to-mid December with a broken index finger.

The 3-12 Cavs play next on Friday at the Atlanta Hawks.
